Protecting Digital Camera from Rain, Heat, and Cold Weather

Almost  people  usually keep their digital cameras indoors when it’s snowing or raining,  too cold or hot. OK, it’s so good to keep your camera save because all of the cameras dislike extreme cold and heat. However, many great moments will be ended without memory. Therefore, I will give you some tips on protecting your digital camera from rain, heat, and cold weather.

The first you can do is good camera bag. It’s a must, especially if you travel or hike. Many of them are weatherproof. In addition, camera bag also makes your camera being secure and safe.

It is better if you have filter, like Ultra Violet and sky light filter. It will protect the lens.

a. In the Rain
If you stuck in the rains outside and you holding the digital camera, put it under shirt, jacket, hat, and anything which can protect it. But, if you want take pictures, use the plastic bag to protect your camera. Then, make a hole for the lens. Don’t forget to secure the lens with tying the bag with a rubber band.

b. Heat
If you go outside in a extreme heat, don’t leave your camera without any shield. The simple tip you can do is laying a light towel over the camera as a shield of the sun. Avoid dark color because it’s able to absorb the heat.

c. Cold Weather
Make your camera in the warm condition. Put the camera under the jacket. It will prevent condensation. But, if condensation happens, open memory compartments and the battery. Then, make them to be empty. Open the compartments and keep it until it will be dry.
