Cellphone service expansion at Metro slowed by track work
A team of four nationwide cellphone providers has installed new antennas and other equipment in 20 more underground Metro stations as part of a plan to provide wireless phone service throughout the Metro system by fall 2012. But their access is constrained by Metro’s safety-related track repairs.
