Nokia C6-01 Symbian^3 touchscreen smartphone now shipping

Nokia has announced that it is now shipping the C6-01, a Symbian^3 powered smartphone with a large 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitative touchscreen featuring the new ClearBlack display technology. The device also sports an 8 megapixel camera with HD video recording and more. Nokia indicates that the boxes are loaded up on vans and being shipped out to retailers and operators now. Nokia wins early round in Apple patent battle

The patent battle between Apple and Nokia is likely still in its early stages, but the U.S. International Trade Commission has handed FInland’s Nokia an early victory, finding that evidence supplied by Apple did “not establish a violation” of Apple’s patents. If the finding sticks, it lifts the threat that the ITC might block importation of Nokia devices into the United States.
