Nokia 500 Auto Navigator
Nokia tried to bet its lucky by releasing a cell phone for GPS, namely Nokia 500 Auto Navigation. The first look of the 500 Auto Navigation will give you a perspective that this phone has a strange size. Actually this Auto Navigation was launched last year in Europe. Now, you can purchase the Nokia 500 Auto Navigation in USA.
Compared with other new GPS navigators, it is thicker. The horn-shaped window mount seems to be the odd feature I’ve ever seen.
If the users have the address they want to go, they will not any difficulty to choose the destination. However, the database does not help you more because it is out of date. Uf!
There are three US voices offered to us and you can understand the pronunciation easily. The users also will enjoy the navigating process because of its simple way. You only need quick time (only 3 seconds) to reroute.
Besides acting as a navigating system, there are some good features there, such as a photo viewer, an audio player, Bluetooth phones, and video player. The storage card is about 2GB. Substituting the storage into 16GB is possible too although you need to load maps from a DVD which is included. Even, you will not get any obstacle to load media and run it by using the onboard software. The music formats which are supported are MP3, AAC, WMA, and eAAC+. The users may see videos in the formats of MPEG-4, 3GP, and WMV. The photos formats which are supported are GIF, JPEG, PNG, and BMP.
The big mistake there is the weak sounds produced by the FM transmitter.
Strengths:
• Rerouting is so fast
• For hands-free calling, Bluetooth is very useful
• It has good features related to video, photo, and music.
• The users will not any difficulty in understanding the street names because the pronunciation is good and clear.
Weaknesses:
• The size is large.
• The colors of the maps are not bright
• The FM transmitter produces weak sounds
• The POI list is out of date
