im planning to buy 1, and i saw crazy stuff at my local apple store when ipad 2 came out? so my question is, is there a significant change from ipad to ipad 2?

ipad 2 has a camera and faster processor
slimer, has a 2 built in cameras (Rear and front facing cameras) and the resloution on the ipad 2 is 1080p *
About $300. They are both outrageously over priced technologically backward little toys that Apple hopes you’ll follow the blind bands of 15 year olds who want their friends to see them holding this piece of proprietary trash

Difference Between iPad and iPad 2
(1) iPad 2 comes up with higher performance processor and RAM. New A5 processor’s clock speed is twice as faster than A4 and 9 times better on graphics while the power consumption remains same.

The differences are certainly noticeable. One of the biggest differences is the case. The second generation is certainly shorter and squatter. It’s about half as much so as the original iPad. It makes the first one look a tad clunky in comparision. This is largely due to the fact that you can hardly see the aluminum on the edges of the iPad 2. It’s just sleeker. It weighs roughly the same. I know it IS lighter, but you honestly can’t tell the difference by holding it in your hands.
Another advantage of the iPad 2 hardware is the speaker. Even though the first gen speaker is louder than this new one, it doesn’t produce as rich of a sound. Your ears will definitely hear the difference, but the sound is just so much better this time around. You’ll enjoy the clear quality when playing music and videos.

If you already have the iPad, given our time with the new iteration, we suggest giving the iPad 2 a miss. Sure it’s faster, but that’s speed you may or may not really need (given how fast the original iPad already is anyhow). If you don’t have an iPad, and want to get Apple’s shiny new tablet, then by all means, feel free to fork out the cash for it.
