    And 150 50’s and 60’s records
Mine is a 1961 model year
Blonde color wood with black lines very clean look I will be listing mine soon

  29. Is that the same model used in The Dick Van Dyke show? If you look in the hallway behind the hearth, there’s a console that looks very similar to this one.

  30. Sweet! My parents got a very similar unit as a wedding gift in 1962. As I recall, the insides were identical, but the cabinet was slightly different. (I suspect those cabinets were sold in various shades and trims to complement individual living rooms.) It broke down in stages during the ’70s, but Dad kept fixing it when he could and bypassing components that were beyond repair. Eventually, only the cabinet & speakers remained, with all input piped in from components in an adjacent cabinet.

  31. i was woundering if u have the needle number or cartlidge number i need to get for the record to start playing. i bought 1 just like yours but it didnt come with the needle and i have been looking for this needle like crazy! if u know where i can get this needle i would greatly appreciate it . thank you

  32. We’re in central Wyoming. We’re down in Denver quite a bit and check out hipster vintage shops. I’ve seen a nice console or two there but since it’s ‘hipster’ it’s expensive. I actually had two early 60s-era Magnavoxes some years ago when I lived in a small apartment. I had to downsize and get rid of them, with the heaviest of hearts. Now we have too much room and they’re rare.

  33. It is a shame. Do you ever check on Craigslist? I see a few of them locally on Craigslist… where are you located?

  34. We recently bought a house built in 1957 and is very original. I’m really hoping that I can find a late-50s early-60s working console much like this someday. I used to see quite a few of them in thrift stores but they’ve vanished, sadly. Most parted out and sold on eBay I fear, which is a real shame.

  35. BOOOO CLASSICAL MUSIC, i never knew what FM AFC stood for, automatic frequency control

  36. like vintage radios/tvs

  37. hey man i have the exact same unit and i need a new needle but my model number is gone from the back do you think you could hook me up with the info. thanks

  38. Hi – there is not necessarily much difference in the sound… it depends on the circuit design, speakers, and the whole system… they probably sound similar. Just enjoy the tube sound!

  39. Hi there everyone tube nerds and the like, I have the very same console but with 6V6 final tubes it works fine what would really be the difference between 6V6’s and 6bQ5’s bothare push pull,,, thanks, ernest.

  40. sure, i still have it, let me know

  41. i will buy it. let me know

  42. hey all I have a magnavox that i want to sell, the radio works but the turntable needs repair, I am in Los angeles, can someone guide me???

  43. I bet someone bought this for parts. It has some quality components.

  44. This is the best. I have a mangavox phonograph that is from the 1960’s I believe. I’m having troubles keeping it in actual motion. It keeps dying on me and slowly spinning to a stop. Any suggestions?

  45. I Purchased A Similar One Yesterday At A Flea Market In Englishtown NJ For $15.The Radio Needs Work And It Needs A New Lp Needle,But Other Than That It Plays My 78s The Best Of My Machines.

  46. BRING BACK GREAT MEMORIES, EVERYONE (over 45 ??). We had a ZENITH console, and I have to tell you; when I saw this GREAT demonstration of those wonderful old tube consoles, it was like stepping back in time. I really DO miss those days!! Fortunately, I like nowadays, as well!!

  47. excuse me,
    i have a major problme.
im 12 years old so there is not much mechanical work i can do,
i have a 1967 RCA solid State Stereo Record Player.
    3 speed.
When you put a record on, the songs are noticeably faster and in a higher key.
i have tried using coins, but i would like a permanet fix, is there anything you would recommend?

  48. Oh man!! I want one!

  49. I love these things

  50. I have one of these and it is in perfect condition but I have a lot of noise in the amp.
