Us console gamers should be happy that Battlefield is even on consoles, I mean Battlefield is PC based game because of the massive amount of players in each game. As long as the fps is above 20 I honestly couldn’t care less. Also, the maps will be smaller on the consoles to fit with only having 24 player matches. We’ll still get everything else, so I don’t really see what’s to complain about.

PC is better in every category but splitscreen, price (its not that expensive though, 800-1000$ is about it), and ease of linking up with friends (although its certainly not hard on PC, just not as easy as PSN and XBL). The PC literally has the potential to do everything better. I hate to say it. And BTW Swordsmanx76, you don’t have to upgrade your components “year to year”, if you get good parts the first time, you can max games for 4 years, play at console level graphics (medium 720p) for 5-6.
@TMetalFromHell thats fine then, my problem is with the people on console that cry because they have inferior graphics to PC and blame the developers/accuse a game of being crap.

@Lukeriddoch i am fine with consoles, i dont want to spend hald thousand per year just because of games, and ive seen the comparsion between both and im cool with the console version, is just that getting a pc costs a lot, but the only reason i would buy for the pc would be because of the larger maps and 64 players in a game
@TMetalFromHell hey i never said thats the way to go, im just saying that people should stop complaining that their consoles cannot play games as well as PC, consoles stay the same as the games get more advanced, but PC’s continue to develop. Accept what you get OR get a PC.

Just to sum up the technical aspects for people (console):
Modern Warfare 3: Up to 18 players, 60fps, 600p native resolution, non-destructible environments.
Battlefield 3: Up to 24 players, 30fps, 720p native resolution, fully destructible environments
Now do people realise why Battlefield 3 wont run at 30fps on consoles, I thought that BC2 ran at 60fps for ages until someone told me, to all whiney console faggots if you want to run the game at 60fps build a gaming pc and stop whining.

I call that the “field of unicorns syndrome” in gaming.
I mean if you were out hunting unicorns (unicorns = unsuspecting enemies/easy kills), you’ll be happy if you find one, as unicorns are VERY rare.
But if you’re hunting and find an entire FIELD of unicorns, unsuspecting of your presence, you just spray like a madman and end up not getting any before all the unicorns shit rainbows on your face and you die from butterfly asphyxiation.

Doesn’t Medal of Honor 2010 only run on 30 frames per second as well? if that is the case, it is surprisingly smooth.

Just one question, cod runs 60 fps but thats because theres not that much going on other then 10-18 players running around+ killstreakes. bc2 runs at 30 fps on console with 24 players+vechicles+destruction+etc, but doesnt a higher frame rate help reduce lag on everything thats going on in a bc2 game? Shouldnt a higher fps smoothen out a game?
Im going to buy it on PC, and either PS3 or Xbox as well. Not sure yet. BFBC2 is nice and smooth on Xbox. I play on PC too. The only problem is……I suck.

i agree with your take on consoles. i would much rather just buy a console and not have to buy anything for it for 6+ years then have to keep upgrading a pc. even if i had TONS of money and that wasn’t an issue i still wouldn’t want to because it’s a pain in the ass to keep buying and installing parts. with console you save all the money and the hassle and only have to sacrifice a little bit of the graphics.
@p1n0yB0y12 Do you want full vehicle combat and destructible enviroments on Consoles, or 32 players? A whole extra 8 people is a lot to handle. I mean that’s a full game of Slayer on Halo.
Me personally I don’t care bout resolution or anything like that I’m just kinda annoyed that it’s gonna be 24 players on console. They shura at least bumped it up to 32, wen they said that consoles couldn’t handle it. That’s what pissed me off. Btw I play BC2 on ps3. 64 players for consoles is good for them but bad for us console people. Pls DICE 32 players!!!!! U still have time
