can I use a geforce 6990 GPU with this motherboard???
I have a question, i am currently building a pc and i have this motherboard. Only im not sure about wich connectors i have to use from the psu to the motherboard.
Cause i know about the main 24 pin, but what do i have to do with that second connector at the top on the left? you can put a 4 pin connector in it and if i remove that black cap i can put a 8 pin in it.
So wich one do i have to plug in it? a 4 pin or remove the black cap and connect a 8 pin?
( using a TT toughpower XT 775 )
Got this motherboard. it has already been overlcocked using a i7 to 3.4Ghz. Can i get any more out of it whilst keeping it stable?

So this MOBO does only support Triple Channel Memory Architecture?
@BlackgoldTwinduck yes

@Marchof31Days that’s probablycause you’re going on the wrong location site :/ go to the global site
@gergy008 They don’t. I’m checking right now and the P6T Deluxe V2 is not on the list.
@Marchof31Days I am very sure I just triple checked even on the asus website they have this model in the USB 3.0 list. Definatly.

That`s TRUE!
I’ve had this board since release and it’s still running strong paired with a Q6600 quad core.
I got the 750i motherboard and brought a box full of trouble … xfx support took 4 months to issue a RMA .. i hope if you buy one your not in a hurry to use it

FUNNY I REMEMBER THIS CARD—WAS THE TOP, AND AT THE MOMENT I BOUGHT ASUS p5KC WITH CORE2DUO,THAT WAS TOP TOP TOP…AND? NOW I LOOK TO THIS IS THIS IS FROM STONE AGELOL I JUST ORDERED THE ASUS P6X58D PREMIUM.AND THAT IS REALLY TOP BUT IN TWO YEARS WILL BE AGAIN STONE AGED mobo;THE SCIENCE IS JUST MULTIPLYING MORE AND MORE__ JUST LIKE THE BIBLE REALLY SAYS ..IS COMPLETELY TRUE, USB 3.O, SATA 6GB/S, MY ATI HD5870—CORSAIR 1000W, 4GB DDR 1600MHZ CANT WAIT, SEE MY GAME CHANNEL guitargamery
yeah it’s cheap now, because it’s over 3 years old. it’s all old news but still Great Board but time flys this was expensive Board back in 2007 hardware gets outdated very easly now
I used to think the same way but I found out that we have yet to break the bandwidth of the 1.0 slot, even with the 2.0 spec. And the 2.0 cards are backwards compatible to 1.0 and 1.1.
best board i have ever used!
you don’t need to have a mombo that has pci-e x16 2.0 to use a 2.0 card. buy this mombo plus this card and you should be fine XFX PVT98GYDLH GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 , get the card at newegg. : )
Yes 2.0 x16 versions. but not 1.0 x16 versions, they are pretty rare.

x16 is not common?! Almost every card made uses x16!
Looks cool, but you really should get a PCI Express 2.0 motherboard… x16 cards are not common.
$50 at their site1
I hvn that 690i not LT motherboard…If i wan upgrade my grahics card to Galaxy Gts 250 1 gddr 3…Can support??
if you are using an older Power box with 20 pins instead of full 24 then you need to plug an extra molex into the mobo otherwise the graphics card could choke on power short
if you got the latest 24pin PSU don’t worry about it
yes it is 2.0 it will work
my brother is building a gaming computer
he has an XFX 680i LT sli and wants to buy an XFX GTX 260 graphics card but the graphics card needs PCIe 2.0 does this mobo have pcie 2.0 or not?
PCI-Express lanes power. I haven’t seen one so far out, though.
