Great Advice. Get a mac. Don’t have to put up with all these B.S. I’m gonna upgrade to a mac because i’m tired of Windows and it’s shit!
does this work on any laptop
I just did like you said and it was successful. I used 12V 100W halogen lamp from disco-light. Thank you!
where do you get that glue?
I dont wanna buy it on line. can i get it at any hardware store?
Try my copper shim and lower your gpu temps. Only $5 and includes thermal paste. Search for “TX1000 Copper Shim” on ebay.
and i have to reconect again keyboard becose is not working now, is bit hard to connect back again, the cable slip away all the time so i do that 2morow. any idea how?
thx, work for me, just did it few hours ago, and didnt have heat lamp so i used hairdrayer, thx again
Wow! Thank you for your post. $10 bucks is a lot better than other alternatives. My HPtx1000 tablet is up and running again after 3 hours of disassemble, going to the store for the compound, and reassemble (that took the longest for me). Thank you, thank you, thank you! BTW – tell your wife she is right … you are a crazy video on Youtube, but you have helped so many people. She should be proud, and kiss you a lot!
hi, do you think this fix is good also for other laptop? I’m having the same problem (lights of mobo and keyboard starts but screen stays always black, even with an external monitor) but with a clevo d900t…thanks
Try my copper shim instead of a penny. Only $5 and comes with thermal paste. Search for “TX1000 Copper Shim” on ebay.
Holy Shit! The black screen problem on the TX 200Z is gone! I used this video to correct the problem, but another video helped take the laptop completely apart. Your video along with abeljohn100’s helped me fix the black screen problem. I was skeptical at first, but when I saw that HP symbol pop on my screen after reassembly I started dancing. I thought the damn thing would cost me a few hundred either to get it repaired or purchase a new computer. Thank you!!! BTW I used 7 minutes. F HP 4 this!
OMG ITS CHRIS PERRILO’S TWIN BROTHER xD
@Ciorin When I did this- I removed all the thermal grease because of the silver compound instructions; I didn’t coat both sides of the penny because it was difficult enough to not touch the penny with my fingers (keep it very clean) so I put extra on the cpu cooler. It works fine for me now.
YES IT WORKED!
I used my bathroom heating light, at first the screen didn’t come on, so I covered the vent ports with tape… but because of the awesome cooling it took forever for it to heat up, when it got hot enough I turned it off and pressed down on the left side of the “enter” key for a minute or 2, I took off the tape and turned it back on while still pressing down (so it would cool off faster). Since it’s been turning on fine with no problems.
USE A PENNY BETWEEN 1963 and 1981!!!
Thanks to this video, my laptop is working again.
I did not use the 150-200 watt but i used regular 100watt bulb and hair dryer.
It works great! Thanks!
@mewwwtew sadly this did not work for me D:
Try my copper? shim instead of a penny. Only $5 and comes with thermal paste free. Search for “TX1000? Copper Shim” on ebay.
thanks so much. i was able to bring my tx1327 back to life.
God bless you!
im attempting this repair tomorrow at my computer class, if this works thank you very much!
Thanks!!!
