Well that was also both G,P and X chipset compatible which means it cowers much wider range of CPUs. P67/Sandy Bridge cowers low to mid end CPUs.

  2. @PytoX and then thats it… :P

  3. @johnandre93 Maybe he uses contact lenses? :p

  4. “Military stuff in the military”

  6. @smartguy9765
Well in 5 years Sandy Bridge will be crappy:P

  7. @Hokrollo1
What do you mean by that? Why couldn’t anyone use it longer?

  8. 5 years warranty….like anyone would use that in 5 years? Not even my grandma would lol

  9. Haven’t you unboxed this before?

  10. @PytoX He blinks 2 times at 0:09!

  14. Finally! Thx :P

  15. wonder if it’s heatshield actually effective

  16. you need a nice full size case. because sometime cable management in a mid size case sucks a lot

  17. a review on which heatsinks that can sit into the slot ontop of the cpu would b great.. please eric

  18. you should unbox some asrock p67 boards

  19. The plastic shroud scratch really easily. I just used the badge sticker it came with to cover it up lol

  20. @Haroids Yes, its the new one.

  21. lol, gotta keep those parts green for camoflage xD

  22. I’m more likely to buy one of these well packaged, well presented motherboards than some of the ones that you’ve unboxed that look like they were packaged with egg boxes!! xD

  23. wow, that black thing is a giant heatsink?

  24. @bg048 That’s the 1k dollar processor, right? :|

  25. @PytoX

  26. @XxSniperTeamBxX Never give up. Never surrender!

  27. @DLC77 a year late lol

  28. @Cotizado0 Yes, it works.

  29. @Cotizado0 yes it will work, just today i instaled the AMDX4 970

  30. @ludekogamer it is supposed to run in X16 and X8 mode. this has almost no impact on performance unless you are running a highly synthetic benchmark.

  31. LOL ultra gerbil 3!

  32. hey guys. i got this board. and i just found out that the orange pci-e is 8X not 16x
is that just my board or what. you can see it inside the slot, it has only half of the pins.
think he made a mistake but correct me if i`m wrong.

    grz LudeKo

  33. @Cotizado0 Yes it would work great. I have that exact combination with 8gb of ram. Goes like a train!

  34. kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  35. kkkkkkkkkkk

  36. lol gerbil

  37. @MYMAnarchy I haven’t, maybe I will with this motherboard and upgrade when SATA 3 and USB 3.0 becomes a standard. As far as I know there is a difference, but maybe its not a huge difference worth upgrading right now. Thanks commenting back

  38. @Korrupted8787 Its not the same actually, u can have a better performance if u do notice, I’m terribly sorry about what I’ve said earlier man :(

  39. @Aristowi Have u tried it?? . Its not the same actually, u can have a better performance if u do notice, I’m terribly sorry about what I’ve said earlier man :(

  40. @hrbear im not aware of any mobos that arent linux compatible

  41. @MYMAnarchy Really? I thought that it was a noticeable difference running at 16x 16x than 8x 8x, I ask because like the other guy I have this motherboard and wanted to run crossfire eventually but I didnt want to upgrade mobo unless the 16x 16x would really make a difference. Thanks

  42. @Korrupted8787 8x/8x for 2-way CrossFire man. Not a big deal because the performance will be the same

  43. I’ve had this motherboard since December 16 2009 and I’ve had no problems with it runs smooth, i’ve got a C3 965be @ 3.8ghz, 4 gigs of Patriot sector 5 ram, Sapphire 5850. Question tho, did he say that if both pci-e are used there both 16x/16x? I thought I remember it being 8x/8x if 2 gpu’s are used, and 16x if only one used.

  44. Can you inform us at the end of the presentation of every mobo if it’s a tested Linux compatible?

  45. Ultra Gerbil, Sweet!!

  46. i consedure etin it wat u tink???

  47. @gdement ah thanks for the reply very informative!

  48. @moonshiry
I was shopping for these boards recently, difference between 790XTA-UD4 vs 790XT-UD4P:
XTA-UD4 has SATA3, USB3, +1 PCI, -1 x1 slot, eSATA on panel vs card, advertises higher memory OC speed.
That’s all the differences I found.

I agree, SATA3 and USB3 seem pretty pointless, and given that this is a first-gen implementation, the controller chips for those features probably suck anyway. I remember all the problems with early USB1 controllers, early SATA, etc.

  49. @theluisanator They are Orange ” Well mine are”

  50. what is the 8-pin 12v used for? do you need it?
