How to reduce hard disk noise and vibration

The cheapest and most efficient way to reduce computer noise caused by hard disk vibration. I’m not an expert, but your hard disks will be healthier and you will eventually hear less noise from your computer. As you will see in the video, air circulation will not be a problem as well. Actually you will have better air flow around hard disks. One more thing; your disks will be better shock proof. I hope you like the music ;) materials used/can also be used : elastic band grabbed from a dirty and stinky underwear ;)

This video shows you how easy it is to install a 3.5″ SATA harddisk in the Playon!HD.

  30. Hey!

I wonder whats different “A.C. Ryan PlayOn!HD Mini Media Player or AC Ryan Playon HD” ? Which one should I buy if I wanna install a Harddisk

  31. @FireOFK There is a fan in there,I have it on for 24/7 as a nas-server. Works fine. Only thing is there is no gigabyte ethernet controller, so the speeds of my network are a little disapointing ( around 6/7 mb/s. ) Audio video and pictures are no problem for it, what ever resolution and quality, hd audio also in passthrough…

  32. @FireOFK Yes there is a fan inside. And a very tiny heatsink.
