  1. @joffeorama It’s been made in 1964. and if you are not aware, Japanese culture is very different, and Feminity even now are not that evolve.

  2. Tezuka is a fucking genius. :D

  3. Orz, the boss has Hitler’s voice…guess that makes him extra evil xD

Also, wtf is with the discussion about misogyny? This is the 60’s, and as far as I’m concerned, rembering losing your virginity with a girl doesn’t make you misogynistic just yet, does it?
Those fanservice animes nowadays are way more offensive than this…

  4. geeezeeeee baaaa ge ge. Laaaaaaaaaaaaado…

  5. This story is very funny and entertaining with some humor already that Osamu Tezuka is the god of manga is a real genius

  6. @stereo123 Exactly. It’s called, ‘perspectivism’.

  7. I can understand Miyazaki’s point. Since Tezuka, Japanese artists don’t seem to be able to draw Japanese characters. Everybody comes out as generic European.
But his command of story and image makes his influence inevitable. The arts definitely gained something when he took up a pen.

  8. “Everyone praises Tezuka in lamenting and I don’t think I have to add another compliment to add to that. Rather than that, I must point to his negative contribution to Japanese anime, because I’m the one who was influenced so much by him during my youth. His animation was silly. He spoiled Japanese anime so much…” Hayao Miyazaki on Osamu Tezuka. I understand what he means, Miyazaki struggled under Tezuka’s influence, he actually burned all early manga works because it was too Tezuka like.

  14. Very interesting. It almost feels like something Chuck Jones would’ve done in the 70s.
    Almost

  15. He’s simply the god of anime.

  22. *lol* At 3:20 its HITLERS VOICE!!!!

  23. You do know what cultural and historical context is, right? I’m going to assume no, you don’t. Basically a a person in Japan, in the 60s, remembering having sex for the first time when he was young (which would’ve been BEFORE the 60s, because that is how time works) could have reasons for remembering their shared virginity for reasons other than “I OWN HER, I AM EVIL!” Look, I know I’m being abrasive, but thats just my way. I’m a feminist too, but you’re just tilting at windmills here.

  24. They said that virginity stands out to them, the implication being that sexual inexperience in women or in general is appealing, it’s a possessive ideal of someone who hasn’t been touched by anyone else (or themself), it has nothing to do with remembering past sexual partners.

  25. Feminism does not equal femininity, also I do object to misogyny in general, so I object to, for instance, the way valentine’s day is all about buying stuff for women in the hopes that they can be guilted into sex, I object to misogyny in newer anime (or do you really think that all anime past a certain date is devoid of misogyny?)
