How do you put software into a netbook WITHOUT using an external disc drive?

Question by Les: How do you put software into a netbook WITHOUT using an external disc drive?
I need to install a programme on my netbook, which doesn’t have a disc drive built in. (I don’t have time to buy an external disc drive). Is it possible to install software by putting the disc into another computer, copying it to my external hard drive, then copying the programme from the hard drive onto the netbook?

How large is the program? I’d use a flash/thumb drive or download it from the internet.

Try transferring the program from the disc to a flash drive on another computer, and then using the flash drive on your computer.
