In developing information technology in a company, we should know the steps and make a good plan.
There are four things that we should consider in investing information technology:
· Make company’s Strategic Planning. It is in the business plan. Based on the visions, missions, objectives, and measuring standard, we know the functions of information technology in a company. Then we arrange the fund for technology development for short term, middle term, and long term.
· Information technology investing management should be developed based on Enterprise Architecture. There is a relation between inter components which form information technology.
· Some categories, like software, hardware, and human being should be developed based on portfolio management. It will make optimal improvement
· Then, we measure the results according to portfolio management principles. Focus on whether information technology influences company’s work or not.
