The Shimpsons Spread Computer Virus
Homer, one of The Simpsons’s famly spread computer virus. There is someone who used chunkylover53@aol.com, Homer Simpsons’s account email to spread trojan to the computers. The Trojan delivers some dangerous content, like a rootkit and remote control software which makes the user to log in to Kimya, a Turkish botnet.
This email account will send an autoreply message to the users and promise to give one exclusive episode of The Simpsdons. This message will lead to the users to an executable file.
There will be an artificial error message which’s followed with some original error messages. They lead you to an empty screen. When restarting, the system will run slowly and maybe it can cause crash.
Although this malware is only spread by the user name of chunkylover53, there is a possibility that the botnet can be used easily to send more dangerous malware in the future.
