Samsung U800 Review
Samsung is one of best mobile phone producent, It has produced some great phones and now they produce a great-looking phones Samsung U800. Metallic finish of U800 give it a distinct air of class.
Positives
The etched metal keypad used here feels very responsive. The keys are large enough so it’s very easy to use for texting. And as usual samsung uses grid menu system in its mobile phone which is very easy to navigate. A neat touch is the way it highlights the last used menu item every time you open up the main menu screen.
Some best features of samsung U800 are its support to HSDPA that can download file at speed up to 3.6Mbps. I is fast enough to download a large file. Two cameras are also attached on it. The main cameras which has a 3 megapixels resolution is attached on the back side. It takes decent shots with good colour reproduction and there’s an LED flash so you can shoot snaps of your mates down the local without the photos looking like they were shot in a coal mine. And the other is located at the front side and can be used for video calling.
The best of this mobile phone is the phone’s call quality, with crisp and clear reception, as well as its battery life. You can use it to call up to around 5 hours of talk time and it will tick over on standby for up to 13 days.
Negatives
Todays multimedia is becoming a part of life and a music players on a gadget are becoming increasingly important, and although Samsung provides a decent pair of in-ear headphones with this phone, the its music player attached on its U800 is a bit basic. It is got a very tired looking interface and is not as easy to use as it could be. Next to the offerings on the latest Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones, it looks decidedly old-fashioned.
If we were to be picky, we would say that the camera could be improved with better optics and an autofocus feature. But this is a mid-range phone and if you really want those features you can always pay a bit more for one of Samsung’s higher-end models.
Conclusion
Samsung U800 has a blend of stylish good looks, it gives best menu system and powerful features, such as the HSDPA support. Although it is not as great as sony ericson mobile phone on music player.
