  27. ew sucking on titties is perverted and sick. plz use formula k?
anyone who breastfeeds is a sick person who should be electrocuted because this is child porn.
fact: women get sexually arosed when infant sucks their tits.
    u people are sick.

  28. @4breastfeeding We’re running in circles here, like a christian arguing with an atheist. The point is, both are natural functions, both add to what fuels the circle of life, so I fail to see the difference between the two.

  29. I feed my daughter on demand as well… I have never been on schedule with her and don’t think i ever will…I eat when I’m hungry so should she..

  30. Cute cute baby

  31. Actually I don’t see the difference, people need to learn to have sex too, and it can be educational. In fact I think they should start teaching this.. Too many people can’t please their partners and it makes marriages fall apart.

  32. @ mysticmeg111: And contrary to your assertion, *several studies* do in fact state explicitly that oxytocin “modulates the immune and inflammatory processes.” See for example, Ozlem 2009.

  33. @
mysticmeg111: I don’t believe your alleged credentials have any bearing on the facts: 1. Skin-to-skin contact stimulates oxytocin in baby; 2. Oxytocin counteracts the effects of the stress response (McCarthy, 1995); 3. There is substantial evidence for a relation between stress and decreases in functional immunity, percent of circulating white blood cells, immunoglobulin levels, and antibody titers (Herbert 1993). Hence, one must conclude that oxytocin does indeed *greatly* effect immunity.

  34. oxytocin studies so far show no effect on the immune system/ Oxytocin is a mammalian hormone secreted by the pituitary gland. It acts as a neurotransmitter -it establishes the let down reflex-it causes the uterus to contract post delivery and it also does a few other things. You are advising a UK midwife of 40 yrs experience and who has successfully breast fed 4 children including twins. I congratulate you on breast feeding but please exercise more caution before you mouth off. Fools rush in…

  35. Right. One of the leading causes of death in the U.S. is doctor caused death. I’m not saying one should never trust a doctor, just not blindly trust them. We have so many malpractice lawsuits for a reason.

  36. @ mysticmeg111: the antibodies in the breast milk are one mechanism, true; but skin-to-skin contact effects oxytocin and oxytocin plays a role in immune function. There is more than one mechanism the effects immune function.

  37. Who told you not to listen to your doctor? You might also try researching a topic for yourself and not blindly following someone’s advice because he has an M.D. after his name. Doctors get sued for malpractice for reasons. I advocate informed consent. This video is an attempt to inform.

  38. @Jayjen35: Yes. I can remove comments, and I do remove the majority of the perverted and pointless ones; however, I think it is appropriate to occasionally approve those comments to reflect the reality of ignorance and bigotry.

  39. Good point. I can’t please everybody. No matter how I presented the information, someone would have a problem with it.

  40. I’m glad that’s working for your wife and baby. For me, and for many other women and their babies, that would not work. And I sleep very well at night, thanks.

  41. Thanks. My baby is a she.

  42. Generally speaking, no, it’s not possible to overfeed the baby doing it this way. Some spit up after feedings can occur normally. However, frequent spitting up, as well as some other signs could indicate the mother has oversupply syndrome. See a lactation consultant to discuss solutions, if that’s the case.

  43. My credentials are that I’ve successfully breastfed my five children. I have no obligation to explain physiology of lactation to you; such information is easily found if you really care. As for so-called “experts,” the consensus among them is that scheduling is bad. The ones that teach scheduled feedings are not basing their advice on any scientific studies or facts. However, it is your right to believe whatever anyone with “credentials” tells you; and they are counting on you doing just that.

  44. Generally speaking, yes. However, surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy may present contraindications to breastfeeding. Consult with your physician.

  45. @ xtwiztidx420x: According to who? Where did you come up with “your suppose to quit breast feeding a baby after 1 year?”

  46. No. This mom doesn’t just wanna flash her breasts. You can’t even see my breasts in this video!

  47. There was a recent scientific study published (Dec 2009) that seems to indicate that.

  48. I made it to help other women and their babies. Why are you watching videos about breastfeeding?

  49. @ Mauropt: The picture of the baby feeding is meant to imply a baby in control of the breast, as opposed to a baby being restricted to scheduled feedings. It’s meant to depict, in a tasteful way, free access and control of the breast for baby.

  50. I fail to see how breastfeeding becomes disgusting if a toddler does it. Nevertheless, you are entitled to your opinion.
